South London-dwelling club entity We Buy Gold return to wax for their first outing of 2020 with the fourth release in the 12” white-label vinyl series: WBGXXX

The series which introduced the world to the now long out-of-stock WBG001, 002 & 003 has seen the Peckham-based label “beat the living shit” out of the outlying realms of hardcore, jungle and electro for almost half a decade. As expected WBG004 is no exception and provides arguably the labels most accomplished tracks to date.

Carrying on the tradition of the pirate-radio-ready, mysterious and bootleg heavy white-label releases of the late 80s / early 90s rave that inspired the series, all of the producers are once again anonymous here, though as a clue WBG004 again promises a mix of production talent across its 2 sides that pitches UK rave veterans alongside the next generation of sound murderers.

As immediately rave-relevant while varied as ever, WBG004 plunges listeners deeper into the darkside, with the 4 tracks on display here ranging from full-on-frantic to moodily restrained and spanning everything from sinister electro minimalism, to sample-heavy hoover rave, soaring piano-lead junglism and chipmunk diva-vocalled speed juke and jit.

Limited once again to 100 vinyl copies only for the world.
